2004 is the first year of JIB, acronym for Jewish and Israeli Blog, a contest in which the best jewish and israeli blogs are voted in order to rank high in several charts, where each chart is a different blog category.

JIB are seen as a way to incrase blog relationship and promote jewish, israeli and pro Israel blogs. Basically, the first two kind of websites are simply blogs written by jewish and israeli people, the third one includes blogs written by people of other nationality than jewish and israeli which promote Israel as and discuss about Israel’s side of conflict.

All the blogs which are anti-Israel, even if written by jewsih or israeli people, are not eligible to take part to the JIB awards.
