Jewish and Israeli Blog Awards 2006, third edition of this competition reserved to jewish and israeli people who write a blog and to non-israeli and non-jewish people who have a blog about Israel, is going to have even more success than previous years.

As usual, there are lots of blogs nominated for final award. Unfortunately only part of them can go through qualification round to finals, where users can vote the best JIB blog for 2006.

For the first time this year blog ratings are the result of more than seven months of community votes, which have been done 24/7 in real-time.

This year also provides special rules, listed below:

  • blogs can be nominated to more than one category but they can win in one category only
  • deadline for voting is midnight of 19th of January 2007
  • to qualify for an award the minimum number of votes is 50.

All blogs which compete for awards in JIB 2006 are voted directly by users from all around the world.

Among the main categories for this year’s award we can see “Best overall blog”, “Best Jewish Religion blog”, in which there are all blogs talking about jewish religion, “Best Slice of Life in Israel”, in which there are bloggers who, with their own blogs, talk about Israel and real life in the country, “Best Jewish Culture Blog”, in which there are all the blogs which represents the best on-line way to know jewish culture and its particularity.
